My kids

Caedon will be 7 weeks old on Monday!  Crazy!  He's such a sweet baby and we're so blessed and grateful to have him in our family.  He's growing growing growing.  Tonight he wore his first 3-6 months pjs to bed.  He's just getting too long for his 0-3 month ones.  And he's outgrown his newborn onesies.  Now if he would just grow into his pants that would be good.... :)   He's getting more smiley all the time and we can't wait to hear him laughing.  There's a picture of our family (BC - before Caedon) that hangs over the couch and Caedon LOVES it.  I think it's because of the contrast - there's a big contrast of black on white.  We sit on the couch with him and he just stares at that picture.  When I change his diaper there's a ribbon that hangs right above the changing table and he adores that ribbon.  It's the best place to get pictures of him smiling because he just stares at the ribbon and grins like crazy!  He's sleeping well at night.  He wakes up once to eat and then goes right back to sleep. He's sleeping a stretch of 6-7 hours, which is lovely.

Kyler is such a wonderful little man.  I had a parent/teacher conference this week and his teacher told me that he's reading on a 4th grade level!  He's so smart!  They're going to test him so that he can start checking out harder books from the library and start taking AR tests.  He got all A's on his first report card and he's started reading chapter books the last week or so.  He's a sweet big brother and loves to give Caedon hugs and help him with his pacifier.  :)  He also says that Melissa is his favorite friend.  I love that they love each other so much!  We've been having some problems with Kyler in the behavior area - mostly because he's very much like his Daddy and he tunes things out.  He'll hear us talking but doesn't always tune into what we're actually saying which gets him in trouble quite often.  He still loves Mario but he's branched out and has been learning alot about animals from Wild Kratts and learning to love some of the shows Mommy and Daddy used to watch, like Heathcliff and Garfield!

Melissa is my girl.  I love having a daughter!  She's a dramatic mess much of the time but I still just adore her.  She loves to have me paint her nails (although she hates sitting still to let them dry...) and she loves trying on clothes.  She is very curious and asks all kinds of interesting questions like, "When I was 2 did my voice still sound like this?" and "Do all the people know that God is really there?"  Obviously some of them are much more philosophical than others.  :)  She loves animals and has recently told us that she wants to be an animal doctor when she grows up.  When we went to the fair last week and visited the ag barns she was very interested in the cows and sheep.  Maybe she'll be like her mommy and raise sheep in high school.  Although we watched a pig show and she said she wanted to do that when she gets bigger- except she said she wants a horse!  (Yeah, sorry, chica, Mommy can't afford a horse....)  She has days when she's very helpful and sweet all day long (like today.  Yea!) and other days when she tries my patience nonstop.

Anyway, there's my kids.  I've been talking SO much about the new little one I thought maybe I should add some interesting tidbits about the other two as well.  :)

Let's see if I have some fun pictures to share this time.....

  1. Love your update - glad you included all 3 kids! Eva is getting long in the torso for her onesies, but NB size pants are still huge on her too! I bought a pair of NB jeans at Target and they look like little gangster pants on her.
